LAVONNE J. DYKEMA, 73, of Tammerlane Healthcare Center, Sterling, IL died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Center.

LaVonne was born March 1, 1938 in Fulton, IL to Jacob and Gertrude (Hoogheem) Norman. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and attended Fulton High School. She married Kenneth Dykema on May 4, 1957 in Fulton, IL. He died November 12, 2000. LaVonne was employed by the former Clinton Garment Company in Clinton, IA. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Fulton.

Survivors include one daughter, Debra McLain of Rock Falls, IL; two sons, Dwayne Dykema of Sterling, IL and David Dykema of Sterling, IL; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary (Ike) Temple of Morrison, IL, Eunice (Lyle “Sonny”) Leibert of Clinton, IA and Ardith (Robert) Zuidema of Fulton, IL; two brothers, Gerald (Jean) Norman of Clinton, IA and Paul Norman of Fulton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; one son, Darwyn Dykema; two sisters, Lois Bush and in infancy, Leota Norman.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

OFFICIATING: Rev. Edie Lenz – Pastor: First Reformed Church – Fulton, IL

VISITATION: 12:30 PM until the time of the funeral service Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery – Morrison, IL
