VIOLET JANETTE KNOX, 83, of Morrison, IL died Friday, January 27, 2012 at her home.

Vi was born November 7, 1928 in Lyndon, IL to Roy Freeman and Nellie Russell (McDearmon) Eads. She was educated in the Lyndon Grade Schools, attended Lyndon High School and was a 1946 graduate of Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. She first married Ralph E. Anderson and later married Cecil O. Knox. She was employed by General Electric in Morrison for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1989. Vi was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church in Morrison, IL. She was also a member of the GEM Club and the Lyndon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Vi enjoyed reading playing cards, needlework, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include one daughter, Shelby Anderson of Austin, TX; one brother, Charles (Verna) Eads of Prophetstown, IL; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eleanor Boonstra; three brothers, Clarence, LeRoy and Keith Eads.

VISITATION: 10:00 AM until the time of the service – Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Morrison United Methodist Church – Morrison, IL
