ANNE N. SHEAR, 100, of Fulton, IL died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Harbor Crest Home, Fulton, IL.

Anne was born March 12, 1911 in Thomson, IL to Hie and Katharine (Norman) Norman. She was educated in the Fulton Christian Grade School in Fulton, IL. She married Harold L. Shear on February 14, 1931 in Rock Island, IL. He died October 9, 1982. Anne was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in Fulton. She was one of the oldest living Fulton Presbyterian Church members. She was also a Sunday School teacher, a choir member, participated in the church’s United Presbyterian Women’s Association, and served as the church’s financial secretary. Along with her husband, Anne founded the Over 50 Club in Fulton. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels for several years. Anne was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed listening to the Chicago Cubs, especially Ron Santo. Anne was a longtime season ticket holder of the Clinton Baseball League, today known as the Clinton LumberKings.

Survivors include one son, Ronald (Nancy) Shear of Fulton, IL; three grandchildren, David (Patricia) Shear, Betsy (Richard) Tubbs, and Melinda (James) Wyatt; eight great grandchildren, Elizabeth (Glenn) Hager, Ashley Shear, Ryan and Rachel Tubbs, Andrew, Kayla, Alyssa and Kyle Wyatt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; four sisters, Tessie Zeeryp, Gertrude Wessels, Alice Decker, and Kate Pannell; three brothers, Ben, Jake, and Pete Norman.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM – Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

OFFICIATING: Rev. Edie Lenz – Pastor of First Reformed Church – Fulton, IL

VISITATION: 10:00 AM until the time of the service- Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Fulton Township Cemetery – Fulton, IL
