Grief Support

Grief support Group offered at Second Reformed Church

Anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one is invited to participate in a Grief Support Group beginning Monday, January 9 6:30-8:30pm at Ken and Deb Kykstra’s home 21043 Cattail Road, Fulton. This group is sponsored by Second Reformed Church, Fulton.

Together group members will read and discuss a book titled “Understanding Grief: Helping Yourself Heal” by Alan D. Wolfelt. Wolfelt writes in the preface,

“ I hope you find this book a ‘safe place’ to express what you feel without fear of being judge… ‘Grief work’ may be some of the hardest work you ever do.”

The basis of this support group is that grief shard is grief diminished. The group will meet twice a month, second and fourth Mondays, and will be lead by Laura Wessels. Group members will be asked to purchase the book although book scholarships will be available.
